The Triangle worksheet introduces the core spelling transformations before providing 12 sentences with familiar vocabulary and clear contextual clues. Learners then write their own sentences using five supplied -ous words.
⭕ Circle – middle level
The Circle worksheet combines word formation and contextual sentence completion with a spelling-discrimination activity. Pupils choose the correctly spelt word from plausible alternatives before applying selected vocabulary in their own sentences.
⬜ Square – higher level
The Square worksheet introduces a broader range of vocabulary, including suspicious, tremendous, delicious, precious, anxious, various and enormous. Learners also explain word meanings and independently construct sentences, developing both spelling knowledge and vocabulary understanding.
