🔺 Triangle – Lower-ability level
Learners begin by connecting six complete forms to their corresponding contractions. They then write ten contractions, choose suitable answers from a word bank to complete eight short sentences and write one original sentence using she’s.
⭕ Circle – Middle-ability level
Learners independently write ten contractions before selecting suitable contractions to complete ten sentences. They then write original sentences using she’s, didn’t and aren’t.
⬜ Square – Higher-ability level
Learners write ten contractions and apply their understanding by completing an extended paragraph with eight suitable contractions. They then create sentences using specified contractions and finish by writing two sentences containing two contractions in each.
